The size and development of breasts in women; for genetic reasons, they can vary depending on weight or breastfeeding. One of the most disturbing problems related to women’s breasts; comes the small size, the prolapse of the breast and the abnormality of the shape of the breast. In breast-shaping surgery, many different techniques are used today. However, the success of breast aesthetics is achieved by performing an operation according to the person’s own desires and in particular according to the structure of the breast tissue. Breast augmentation operations are performed with prostheses filled with silicone gel. This operation is generally performed in patients with very little breast tissue or in patients with relaxed skin with which a breast can form again.
How is breast augmentation performed?
The most commonly used method for breast augmentation operations is the incision through the chest wall (fold under the breast) or the nipple.
This is performed by placing the silicone prosthesis on or under the muscle. This is a decision based on the patient’s condition after the initial consultation with the patient.
The most important point in breast operations, which size of breast the patient requires and what size we can make for them. In general, we can make the size and extent that the patient wants, but it is still important to make an evaluation of the patient. We also decide whether to apply silicone over the muscle or under the muscle during the patient’s examination.
How is the healing process in breast augmentation operations?
For patients in breast augmentation surgery, if rounding is not performed, about 4 nights are enough to stay in the country. When patients arrive on the first day, they are consulted and taken the next day for the operation. After the operation, their follow-up is performed and patients can safely return to their countries after 4 days.
If we talk about pain; When we put it over the muscle the pain is almost minimal. Some patients do not even feel it. But when we put it under the muscle, there is some muscle pain. In order to alleviate this muscle pain, we provide the necessary treatment and provide the patient with the necessary medications before leaving.
The breast lifting operation is usually performed on patients with sagging breasts. This operation can be performed in 2 ways;
* Using a silicone prosthesis
* Using the patient’s tissue
How is the breast lifting operation performed?
In both cases, firstly, the place where the nipple should be based on anatomical measurements is marked on the patient and the nipples are taken to that area. There are different techniques. The most commonly used technique is the upper pedicle technique (applied from the upper part of the breast).
This operation takes about 2 hours or 2.5 hours. In breast lift operations, the patient’s scar is generally in the form of a lollipop candy.
As with other breast operations, the patient’s desired breast size is very important. An operation is performed considering the breast size desired by the patient and thus lifting is provided.
If these patients are coming from abroad, they need to stay for a week. Surgical drain is not used in 90 percent of patients. If drain is used, it is withdrawn within in one or two days.
Breast reduction operations are performed on patients with extremely large breasts and excessive skin relaxation. The operation takes about 2.5 hours and the patients get a scar in the shape of a lollipop candy or reverse T after the operation.
According to the wishes of the patients, it is possible to obtain a breast near the desired size. In these operations, the breast tissue becomes increasingly full and shaped.
How is a breast reduction performed?
The first examinations and the first consultations of the patients are carried out through a photograph or when the patient arrives. Before the operation, the patient is examined in detail and blood tests are performed. Then the anesthesiologist examines the patient and the operation begins
If patients come from abroad, they should only stay here for 5-6 nights, so a maximum of 1 week in total. If patients use a drain, those drains are withdrawn after one or two days.
Breast reduction operations prevent breastfeeding?
Breast lifting operations do not prevent breastfeeding. Because in this operation, the structures never change because the breast tissue is not removed, and the breast tissue and the channels leading to the nipple are moved upwards as they are.
In breast reduction operations, especially if a reduction of 50 percent or more is made, as part of the breast tissue is removed from it, there is the possibility that in the future a problem with breastfeeding will occur, with a probability of 5-10 percent.
Gynecomastia is a state of breast enlargement that is generally present in men. The main causes of breast enlargement in men are the hormonal effects or excessive fat due to obesity.
How is gynecomastia performed?
The factor that causes breast enlargement cannot be eliminated but can still be corrected surgically. Vaser liposuction is used in almost all cases for surgical correction. Furthermore, if there is a grandular tissue and it cannot be completely removed with Vaser liposuction, a very small incision is made on the nipple to remove it. This method produces a flatter breast.
When patients come to Turkey, a hospitalization of about 4 nights would be sufficient and then they could return to their country. Surgical drainage is not used in 90% of patients. The most important point in these patients is that they should wear corsets for about 4 weeks.
